The EuroPharm Forum works in partnership with a number of international organisations to facilitate networking worldwide promoting action. This collaboration concerns, for the main part, professional activities where a common basis of interest between the Forum and one or more partners has been established.
To highlight some of these types of partnership, we should mention, first and foremost, the
WHO, representing the raison d'être of the Forum. The collaboration with the WHO largely extends that of a professional interest in pharmacy, eg the WHO has a long-standing precedent of attending the meetings of the Executive Committee of the Forum, and meetings/conferences are regularly held on the premisses of WHO Europe.
Some of our international partner organisations have
Observer status and have access to the Annual Meetings of the Forum, including General Assemblies. Our organisations seek mutual advice and draw on our respective networks to increase public awareness of our organisations and activities.
Subsequent to the establishment of the EuroPharm Forum,
Regional Pharmaceutical Forums have been formed in all WHO geographical subdivisions. They bring together national pharmacy associations, the WHO and FIP in six regional platforms aiming to increase partnership, dialogue, understanding and activity in the world regions.
